is a furnished living space available for short periods of time, from a few weeks to a few months, depending on your need. But most importantly, not a full year. Short-term rentals are also commonly known as vacation rentals and are considered an alternative to a hotel.
Since Maryland is the home of so many great medical facilities, The Nina is often rented by traveling nurses and patients coming in for treatments and proceedures. These specific STRs are much more affordable than a hotel.

The Buck:
A private 1 bedroom, 1 bath full apartment, frequently rented by adventurous traveling nurses/professionals here on a working contract. I also host a lot patients/families that come to the area for treatments and proceedures, and need an cheaper alternative to hotel prices.
This a lower-level, newly renovated apartment with 1 bedroom, 1 bath, full kitchen w/ access to a vending W/D ($5.00 load). All utilities are included which also includes Fios Wi-Fi. Central air and forced heat are controlled by an owner’s app for the unit (Heating is set to 70* and cooling is set to 72*). Brand new LVT floors throughout. Queen bed and dresser in the bedroom with a very large closet. The living room has an L shaped couch, pub table, desk/chair, and TV. The kitchen has SS appliances, garbage disposal, ice maker, granite counters, coffee maker (Keurig), and is stocked with the items you’ll need…pots, pans, dishes, cups, etc.
It is close to several Maryland hospitals but the closest to John Hopkins Bayview (4 miles). Johns Hopkins main campus is roughly 7 miles away. It’s also very convenient to BWI airport, 95, 695, and 895. If you get a day off, you will be a quick Uber to the Fells Point / Downtown area. There are great local restaurants and a lot of waterfront activities and bars!

- Owner is the host.
- This unit is a short term rental, mostly rented by traveling nurses/other professionals and patients here for treatments and procedures needing temp housing.
- Hopkins Bayview Campus is 3 miles away.
- Hopkins Main Campus is 7 miles away.
- UMMC is 9 miles away (drive time is about 20 mins using the Fort McHenry Tunnel/Toll).
- THERE IS NO WHEEL CHAIR ACCESS.
- Property was fully renovated in 2021.
- 1 full bath
- 1 bedroom (1 queen bed, dresser, and very large open closet)
- Bedding and bath linens are provided.
- Parking is on the street, but typically easy.
- Utilites and Wifi are provided.
- Professionally cleaned after every guest.
Pricing:
- Rent fluctuates but is typically $1500/month ($50-60/night)
- Pets are not encouraged because of patients with allergies/health issues but will be considered. If your pet is approved, there is a $100/weekly rent in addition.
- Cleaning fee is $100.00 when you leave, $175.00 with a pet.
- If you’d like the cleaning service monthly, it’s $100.00 each time. Most do once a month or halfway through their stay.
- All guests over 30 days will have a lease to sign and a security deposit (one month’s rent) is due in order to hold the apartment
- All guest over 30 days need rental insurance. I can put you in touch with my insurance agent. His policies are cheap and easy.
- First month’s rent & an insurance policy are due before getting access to the property.
- Stays over 30 days, rent is due on the 1st of the month.
